The Shredder

Sometimes the origins of a villain come from the strangest places. For Lex Luthor, it was an art error that caused his iconic bald appearance. For Venom, it was taking Spider-Man's iconic black costume and putting it on a musclebound freak.

And for this guy, it was "Hey, you know those things on cheese graters? Maybe they'd look good on a bad guy!"

Despite his weird origins, the Shredder has managed to secure himself as one of the more memorable bad guys from my childhood. For this picture, Shredder didn't really have one iconic appearance for me to draw from, so I tried to bring in aspects from his multiple interpretations. The coloring from the 80's cartoon. The armor and face from the 2003 series. The face guard from the movie. All elements to present a more menacing image of the Turtles arch enemy.
