OCD- Sparrowhawk, the Avaian Superheroine

As with the other designs, I had the desire to create an avian themed superheroine for a while.  I just had this idea for a female character with wings and I wanted to get it translated onto the page. 

For her design, it was subtly inspired by the Sorceress from the old Masters of the Universe cartoon.  I thought that the character's wings were a similar color scheme, but it turned out I was mistaken.  Till, I think the color scheme on the wings work out well. 

The design for the costume is rather fairly simple.  I just added blue trimming to the boots, gloves and bathing suit to add to the "avian" look.  For Sparrowhawk's head, initially she just had a skull cap, similar to the earlier Rubbergirl's.  However, I felt that there needed to be something visually distinctive for her head, to bring it all together, so I added the winged diadem to frame her face.  I brought down the "beak" of the diadem over her nose, and gave her bird like eyes to complete the image.  Bird themed heroes, or even characters with wings, have the problem of often looking too "fragile" in a lot of cases.  But hopefully with this image, Sparrowhawk looks like a character that could do some serious damage, even though she is predominantly pink.  I wanted to go with less "graceful swan" and more "bird of prey."

As for her powers, flight is an obvious one.  But instead of her just being a character with wings, Sparrowhawk is a human/bird hybrid.  Her wings are a part of her, something that can grow out of her whenever she transforms into her avian form.  She's tougher, stronger, and can fly at incredible speeds.  Her most devastating attack would be her sonic cry that she can use to debilitate or harm her opponents.
